Description

BodyTalk is an astonishingly simple and effective holistic therapy that allows the body's energy systems to be re-synchronized so they can operate as nature intended. Each system, cell, and atom is in constant communication with each other at all times. Through exposure to the stresses of day-to-day life, however, these lines of communication can become compromised or disconnected, which then leads to a decline in physical, emotional and/or mental well-being. Reconnecting these lines of communication enables the body's internal mechanisms to function at optimal levels, thus repairing and preventing disease while rapidly accelerating the healing process. In this way, BodyTalk stimulates the body's innate ability to balance and heal itself on all levels.

About Julie Pearson

Julie has completed all areas of the Advanced BodyTalk coursework and is excited to bring the complete BodyTalk protocol into her practice. As the mother of three young children, Julie specializes in working with clients to bring balance to the family system. Her experience as a yoga teacher gives her a deep knowledge of pranayama (breathwork), Vedic philosophy, anatomy and physiology, as well as the chakra and meridian systems.

Specialty areas
  • Neutralizing active memories and emotions stored in the body’s connective tissue and cells
  • Allergies, including environmental and food sensitivities
  • Auto-immune and inflammatory diseases
  • Pre- and post-natal care for pregnant mothers and newborns

Background and Philosophy of Healing

Julie discovered BodyTalk three years ago while seeking alternative treatment for her son’s amblyopia, and as his vision improved and she received sessions of her own she found that her own chemical sensitivities had cleared up completely. Her youngest daughter’s tendency toward asthma has also lessened considerably with regular BodyTalk sessions.

Formerly a public high school teacher, Julie has worked with both honors-level students and special needs children with ADD/ADHD and Asperger’s Syndrome, and was chosen by the University of Washington to teach a year-long intervention curriculum for at-risk youth. She was voted “teacher of the year” in her first year of teaching at Ballard High School.

Julie is heart-centered and compassionate in her work, and is grateful for the way in which BodyTalk honors the priority of each person's system as they progress on their own personal path toward health.

Education and Certification

Julie has been fascinated with science and medicine since she was a young child. Her father is an MD of Internal Medicine, and she has traveled with him abroad to provide temporary, low-cost medical clinics to people in poverty. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Whitman College in 1991.

In addition to being certified to teach 4th through 12th grades in the state of Washington, Julie is an IKYTA certified Kundalini Yoga Teacher, a Level II Usui Reiki Practitioner, and a licensed BrainGym Instructor/Consultant. She has also completed two children’s yoga teacher trainings: YogaEd for Pre-K, and RCYP I and II. She currently coordinates introductory level BodyTalk classes in the Seattle area.

Commitment to personal growth

Julie’s own path includes yoga, meditation and BodyTalk Access, walking in her neighborhood, and playing and laughing with her children. She is a member of a Corrective Parenting group that meets once a week, and is active in the Washington BodyTalk Association and the schools of her children.

Julie recently co-founded the Seattle BodyTalk Center, which is located in the Eastlake neighborhood of Seattle. She can be reached at juliepearson@live.com or (206) 915-3357.
